He duly obliged and above and beyond the call of duty, he has done us proud with a couple of storming cuts that have been two of our very own Dave Seaman’s secret weapons in recent weeks. ‘Pony Up’ is a genre straddling peak timer driven by an hypnotic percussive riff and featuring a couple of explosive drops whilst ‘Bring It Back’ is a barnstorming slice of main room tech house that weaves it’s way to yet another dancefloor destroying payoff. Seriously guys, these are not to be missed. Our casa es su casa!

Annexe is named after the legendary back room at Cream at Nation in Liverpool. You’re still a resident there. How is it compared to ten years ago?
And can you tell us some of your favourite memories from there?

Yeah, Cream’s my home.. Well it’s not weekly anymore they just do 3 or 4 massive shows a year at nation now, it’s great to be a part of,they all sell out and the crowd there is up for anything so it makes my job really easy. In a lot of ways cream is bigger than ever right now..

I’ve been closing my sets with ‘The Annexe’ at the last few gigs and the response has been unreal, hence the name. Favourite memories in there for me as a clubber are of course the legendary Laurent Garnier 6 hour sets

And what about Liverpool clubbing in general. We hear good things about Circus, Chibuku and RIAC. Is it just as healthy as its always been?

Liverpool clubbing is actually better than ever i think, almost too good for the size of the city.. Every week there’s something great to go too, which makes it really competitive between the promoters but fantastic for everyone else

You still run 3 Beat records online since the shop closed. How are you finding that? Is there still a solid demand for vinyl or is it just a matter of time before the format dies forever?

No the shop is still open too.. It’s going really well, certain styles are still selling well; disco/house/d&b/techno.. But otherwise we’ve shifted more emphasis towards tickets, merch and cds..I really hope vinyl never dies but of course it’s becoming increasingly difficult.

Which 4 people (dead or alive, real or fictitious) would you invite to your perfect dinner party?

John Lennon, Robbie Fowler, Bob Dylan & my dad.. purely for the weird conversation, as well as meeting a few heroes

Well I’ve only just really got onto ‘The Black Keys’ (after seeing them at Glastonbury).. So i’ve basically been catching up with their albums of late, really really good band, if you’re into Hendrix/Zeppelin etc.. you’ll love them!

What 3 things are the worst about touring?

The positives massively outway the negatives, but i do miss my family and dog when i’m away for too long

Tell us about your upcoming plans over the next few months.

In the next few months,lots of gigs including; Silo Aztec, Format four, Ministry, Cream etc.. Aswell as running the record shop and spending lots of time in the studio.. I’m going to New york with the Mrs in February too, which will be a welcome break

Tell us how you came to be called Fusion F & Come T?

How is the clubbing scene in Poland at the moment?
We really enjoy the Polish music scene, we have many great events and almost every week we play to full dancefloors. People here understand the music and really appreciate the DJ’s. Sometimes we do our own events with guests DJ’s from abroad and they are always impressed with our clubs and the enthusiasm of our clubbers.

What is your own personal favourite production or remix you’ve done together? The one you’re most proud of?
Our favourite tracks that we have done are “Superb Fly” from Baroque Records and “Native Place” from our own label Fruit Machine. From remixes we really like “Gigitech” for Presslaboys and “Favoured Nations” for Trafik. We are the most proud of working with the likes of Audio Therapy on tracks “Wonder” and “Green Housing Estate” and also with Global Underground on the track “Our History”.

What is the most difficult thing facing young producers starting out today?
For us it is difficult to find the time we need as the 21st century is a crazy time and everything is in a big hurry. But we don’t think about it, we only want to do good music.

Which 4 people (dead or alive, real or fictitious) would you invite to your perfect dinner party?
Its difficult to find even one person with whom we want to both meet, maybe Paris Hilton is a good choice ha ha but we have chosen John Murphy, the English film composer. His music from movies like “28 Weeks Later” or “Sunshine” is amazing!

We are young guys (Fusion F 1986) and (Come T 1990). When we were born we just thought about a cuddle to the breast of a sexy nurse, without asking her what was top of the charts.

What was the last album/compilation you bought and can you give us a few other recommendations of albums to check out?
Our last albums that we bought is “None But The Brave” by Trafik on Global Underground and “Cavalier” made by Antix on Iboga Records. We also bought compilation “Globaltech” from Babylon Rec, where you could find Progressive/Tech stuff released in the last few years. In last year we really enjoyed the meldodic techno and techouse style with little bits of progressive. Usually we are buying stuff from artists like: Egostereo, Eelke Kleijn, Zoo Brasil, Guy J or Christian Smith.

What 3 things are the worst about touring?
We see only good sides of touring but if we need to select worst things it will be: delays, climate change and traffic.

Tell us about your upcoming plans over the next few months.
We wonder about releasing our first album really soon, we think its good time to make it!. Also we are planning releases on our own label Fruit Machine where we want to cooperate with artists like: Rui Da Silva, Markus Lange, Presslaboys, Nikola Gala, Paul Jackson, Federico Epis, Cid Inc or Alex Dolby. As Djs we have a lot of plans with big and known gigs in Poland and Europe.

There are some laws in the clubs in Dubai that seem crazy to us in the western world. For instance, DJs are not allowed to drink alcohol in the DJ booth. Why do you think the authorities persist with such rules and regulations? Does it really achieve anything?

I still don’t quite understand it either cause you can’t drink inside the booth but you can drink outside the booth, which absolutely makes no sense. But I guess they make good money from fining the clubs and that could be one of the reasons they apply such rules. They say that you don’t pay tax in Dubai but you end up paying a lot more to the government with all the hidden fees, and the rules are changing everyday in Dubai, it’s really frustrating for everyone and that’s one of the reasons lots of people stopped investing money in Dubai.

You’ve made music with another production partner, Marco G where he’s based in Canada and you in Dubai and passed files backwards and forwards over the internet. Tell us how that works.

Marco and I met each other through internet about 6 years ago, We were just swapping  tunes together and we had a very similar taste so we decided to work on a remix together for spinnin’ and little mountain. We got great responses from lots of DJs and they did really well on Beatport charts, so we decided to continue working together. Then I heard Dave Seaman playing “Seashore” remix when he came to Dubai, I went up to him and I said “that’s my track”, and then he asked me to remix his “Gobbledygook” and that’s how we started working with Audio Therapy.

You’re Iranian by birth and live in Dubai. Have you had any problems traveling the world ue to your nationality?

It’s not easy since you have to apply for a visa wherever you want to go but It’s something that I got used to. The politicians and media have messed up the whole world to be honest and that’s why there’s racism everywhere.

Tell us about Xaver. We know very little about him. We were starting to think he’s your imaginary friend.

Xaver is a super talented Italian producer, I know him since he was 14 (He’s 20 now). He always sent me the productions he was working on, he’s a very diverse producer which I really appreciate it. We decided to work on a track together and we got great response from lots of big djs. So we will continue working together. We will be working on more stuff together soon both commercial and more underground stuff.

Which 4 people (dead or alive, real or fictitious) would you invite to your perfect dinner party?

My parents, Brother & Sisters. Family dinner is always the best.

You might not believe it but “Lady Gaga’s” album. She’s very creative and crazy and I appreciate it. She’s a true star .

What 3 things are the worst about touring?

Touring is a lifestyle, when you do something that you love and it’s your passion there’s nothing bad about it, thats when the tiring and no sleeping moments becomes enjoyment.

Tell us about your upcoming plans over the next few months.

I’ll be working on some new singles with couple of vocalists, I might release them under a different alias I’m not sure yet. Also I have some remix projects lined up with both Marco and Xaver.

Can you tell us how you guys met and started working together?

Well we met over 10 years ago when James was producing for a friend of mine, then we met 5 years ago again at the WMC in Miami and on James’s next trip to the U.K we did a day in the studio and went from there

Pete, you’ve recently moved to Ibiza and have spent many summers there over the years. What makes the island so special for you?

The island is so special as it’s a place where so many like minded people come together, the clubs are amazing and the weather is always fantastic and nobody has work the next day!

James, we believe you recently moved back to Canada after living in the UK for many years. Is it good to be back home and is there anything you miss about the UK?

Well i was actually born in the U.K but moved to Toronto when I was 5 years old, I lived there till i moved to London in 1998, I stayed there 6 years and moved back to Toronto but am now living in L.A, but currently spending the summer in ibiza, and the thing I miss about the U.K most is weather!!! lol

That’s easy: lack of sleep, hangovers and shallow women, or maybe that last one isn’t so bad! lol

The next couple of months will be in Ibiza making more music then we are off to L.A to continue the same over there!

With releases on the likes of Steve Mac’s Smack label and remixes for the likes of GU Music, Nervous and CR2, Reuben Keeney is emerging as a rising talent amongst the EDM scene and with a forthcoming release on Toolroom he certainly looks like a name to watch. Along with the original we also have remixes from Matt Lange and Android Cartel who add to an already great package.

Cylon better known as DJ Meri or one half of Rulers Of The Deep had been messing around with a loop for a new tune and sent it through to Neil Quigley to see what he thought. After loving the sound of the loop Neil kept in touch with Meri to see how the track was progressing and whilst he was waiting for the finished track decided to ask Meri for the loop and the parts so he could have a go himself. Impressed by the result of Neil’s mix, Meri quickly set about finishing up his own mix under his Cylon guise and pair contacted yours truly at Therapy to sign the track up.

Not content with the 2 quality mixes on offer we quickly tracked down a certain Mr Paolo Mojo to see if he would like to remix the track and sprinkle his magic dust on the package and boy has he done just that, turning in not one but two mixes in total. So if you like your deep house through to your percussive tech house then we can guarantee there is a mix here to suit your needs.

So all in all another release that we’re very proud of here at AT HQ.

It’s been a great start to the year for the guys with the release of their “Sanctuary” track with an excellent Muzzaik Remix on Wazzup? Records along with Amin being voted number 1 in the DJ Magazine Middle East DJ Top 50 Awards.

So then along with the excellent original we also have some rather amazing remixes. First up is a remix from Pirupa & Pigi who unless you have been on Mars since the start of the new year have been rooted at the top of the Beatport Chart with their tech house fueled “Sweet Devil” for the past month and longer. Also on the bill is another production duo iO & Sender who have turned out a great groovy house fused remix. Finally we have a remix from fellow Dubai DJ Raxon who toughens up the beats creating a great percussive tech house workout.
